This is the best way to get the lay of the land in Hobart. From the unique vantage point of your own Segway personal transporter, you will cross the historic waterfront from the site of first European arrival, past colonial buildings from the early 19th century, dockside cranes, old piers and original bridges to the charms of Salamanca Place and grandeur of our Parliament House and its Gardens.
Hobart is today what it was then: a transport hub, the primary link with the Antarctic, and the arrival point for thousands of settlers, soldiers and convicts. And because of that original transport base we’ve chosen to show you the historic city of Hobart on 21st Century transportation – the Segway.
