Goanna Walking Track

Natural Attractions

The Goanna Walking Trail incorporates the Gunbower Creek Footbridge in a 3.2km looped walking track through the Gunbower State Forest. It returns to the centre of town via Condidorio’s Bridge.

The track through the Gunbower State Forest is part of Gunbower Island, the largest inland island in Australia.
The looped track includes natural bush terrain amongst magnificent Redgums and a formed path for the return trip along the creek.

The track passes Koondrook Retreat featuring 6 glamourous safari-style glamping tents nestled in the bushland overlooking Gunbower Creek.

The forest provides habitat and shelter for many native species, kangaroos and birdlife are often spotted on the track.
