Natural Attractions

Waroona Dam (Lake Navarino) is 10 kilometres east of the township of Waroona and is a popular spot for water-skiing, camping and bushwalking. Surrounded by lush jarrah forest with abundant wildlife and beautiful wildflowers in season.

Seasonal freshwater fishing is another popular pastime with trout, perch and marron in abundance (licence required).

During late winter Waroona Dam can overflow creating a spectacle as the water rushes down the dam wall.

Visitors can stay at the nearby forest holiday park (camping, caravans and chalets) or camp lakeside in the designated area (fees apply).

Waroona is just over an hour’s drive south of Perth, thirty minutes from Mandurah and 50 minutes north of Bunbury.
